Hey guys this is my first story, please let me know what you think!!! "You know I don't like being here", Jeremy sighed as his sister Jess pulled him out of his car. "Well someone has to bring new flowers to grandpa's grave so please stop whining and come with me", she replied and they went over the cemetery on their way to their grandfather's grave. Jeremy looked around. He felt uncomfortable on cemeterys. Plus, being at his grandpa's grave always made him sad. He'd loved him a lot and he missed him. Suddenly Jess stopped and Jeremy almost bumped into her from behind. "Here we are" she said and held out her hands, waiting for her brother to hand her the flowers. Obviously, something else had attracted Jeremy's attention. He was staring at a girl who stood on front of a grave, a few feets away from them. Her long, blonde hair waved in the wind, her skin was pale and even through the distance he could see that she had huge brown eyes. Jess followed Jeremy's stare and raised her eyebrows. "Hilary Barnes", she mumbled and Jeremy avert his eyes from the girl and looked at his sister. "Do you know her?" he asked and she nooded. "She's in my english class. I'm surprised you don't know her, I mean everyone does. She's Scott Shaw's girlfriend." "Scott Shaw? The football Captain?" Jeremy looked confused. Jess nodded again. "Yeah, I know what you think. She's not his kind of girl, not a cheerleader or something like that.", she said but he shook his head. "she's beautiful", he said more to himself than anything else and Jess laughed a little. "Yes, she is....and she's weird." "Weird? Why?" Jeremy asked. "God, Jeremy, I can't believe you don't know that", Jess sighed. "People talk about her a lot. No matter how warm it is, she always wears jeans and a longsleeve. Nobody ever saw her in a skirt or a top." Jeremy shrugged. "That's her thing I guess." "She has no friends, she talks to no one but her boyfriend, she's always alone and she's here, everyday at the same time, standing in front of this grave, crying." Jeremy couldn't stop staring at her. "Who.." he began but Jess already told him. "People say he was her best friend. he commited suicide about eight months ago. Of course I don't know if it's true, I mean I've never asked her or something." Jeremy looked at the girl. She still stood there, not moving, looking at the grave in front of her. Her face didn't show any emotions, but her eyes were filled with tears. She must have felt his stare because she slowly turned her head and gazed at him. The tears slowly ran down her face. He tried to look away, but he couldn't and for one second they locked eyes. Then she turned her head and looked back at the grave again. Jess grabbed the flowers, placed them on the grave and took Jeremy's arm. "I think we should go now", she said and he followed her without arguing, but not without looking at Hilary one last time. In the car he was pretty quite and Jess immediantely knew something was up. "What is it, Jer?" she asked but he only shook his head. "Nothing", he lied and Jess rolled her eyes. "Oh no! I know this expression on your face, Jer. You're thinking about that girl, right?" He didn't say anything. He knew there was no need to fight since Jess figured out the truth anyway. "She so beautiful", he said and Jess sighed. "You didn't hear what I told you about her, right?" "I did...and yes, you're right, she sounds weird...but..." "...that makes her even more interesting for you", she finished his sentence and he smiled. "you now me way too good, Jess", he laughed but she stayed serious. "You better stay away from her. I heard Scott is very jealous", she said and he shrugged. "We will see...." he mumbled.

thank you!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Hilary slowly wiped her eyes. Suddenly she let out a loud gasp as she looked at her watch. "I'll be late", she whispered to herself and with one last look at the grave she left the cemetery, running to her car. She drove as fast as possible, her heart banging like crazy as she stopped in front of her school, seeing her boyfriend standing in front of it. She always picked him up from football practice. Hilary looked ta her watch again: 4.06pm 6 minutes too late. She got out of her car, taking a deep breath as she saw the angry expression on Scott's face. She knew what was going to come and she was scared of it. Hilary walked up to him, smiling fakely. "Hey" she said and kissed his cheek but he didn't even move. "You're late", he said coldly. "You know I don't like to wait." She tried to ignore the knotted feeling in her stomach. "Well, I'm really sorry baby, but I had to pick up my sister and-" She wasn't able to say anything else because Scott raised his hand and slapped her hard across the face. Like he always did when he was angry... "Don't you lie to me", he said furiously. Hilary touched her red cheek. "Scott, I'm not lying to you baby, I-" she tried to exclaim but he just slapped her again. This time he hit her other cheek. "I know where you've been. You've been at his grave again. You know that I can't stand you going there but you ignored what I told you and now you're trying to tell me lies. Do you think I'm stupid?", he almost shouted and she began to cry and shook her head. He grabbed her hair and pulled back her head hard. She closed her eyes in pain. "So?" he asked. "No, you're not" she whispered. "I won't go there anymore, I'm sorry" He let go of her hair and caressed her cheek. "Good girl" he said. "You know I love you" he added before he took her wrist, pulled her close to him and kissed her. She knew better not to pull away. After they parted, he looked at her seriously. "You know the deal. Be a good girl, do what I tell you, I won't get mad and you won't get hurt...it's easy." he said and she nodded. "Come on now, I told Jack we'd come over later. And apply some make-up, you look horrible." he said and she followed him to the car, tears running down her face.

A few minutes later, Hilary and Scott arrived at Hilary's house. They walked to the front door and Hilary prayed silently that her parents or at least her little sister Kaley would be home. She opened the door and the house was empty so she looked at Scott anxiously but he only kissed her forehead and stroked her hair for a moment. "I'm sorry about earlier", he began. "It's just that....you have to stop making me mad all the time honey." Hilary hugged him. "I'm sorry", she said and forgave him- once again. "I'm going to get some food. I want you to go upstairs, change, put on some make up and fix your hair, okay?" Scott said and she did what he had told her. After she had done her make-up and hair, she walked around in her room, only wearing underwear, looking for a new outfit. Suddenly she heard Scott coming upstairs and she tried to cover herself with a shirt but he already went into her room. He smiled as he saw her standing there, put away the bottle of coke he was holding in his right hand, walked up to Hilary and wrapped his arms around her waist. Since she didn't want to make him angry again, she placed her hands around his neck and kissed him. They began to make out and Scott started to kiss his way down to Hilary's neck. When she looked over his shoulder, she could see her own face in the mirror. Even with all the make-up her skin looked pale and off-color. Her lips were dry and her eyes empty and expressionless. She looked down at her arms which were still wrapped around Scott. They were rife with scratches and bruises Scott inflicted upon her when he was angry or how he liked to say: in a bad mood. Suddenly Hilary felt sick as she noticed Scott's hands sliding over her body, up to her bra. She knew what he wanted to do and she also knew that she wouldn't be able to do that. Not right now. Hoping that he wouldn't freak out again, she pushed him away carefully. "Not now, Scott", she said and he immediantely looked at her pissed. "Why not?" he asked and she felt how he grabbed her arm tightly. "Because we have to go or we'll be late." Hilary answered quickly and she saw him calming down again. "You're right", he replied and she let out a sigh of relieve. "And you should put on a shirt with long sleeves. Your arms look terrible with all these bruises honey", he smirked at her and she knew what that was supposed to mean. -You better behave today or there will be a few more tonight- She just nodded and he went out of the room, leaving her to herself. Hilary put on some jeans and a shirt and followed hím downstairs and into the car without looking into the mirror again.

Thank you girls "I can't believe I'm here", Jeremy told Jess. They were sitting on a couch in Jack's living room, watching other people walking around. Most of them were football players or cheerleader. Jack Miller wasn't only one of the most popular football players in school, he also was Scott's best friend and Jess' boyfriend. "I didn't ask you to come with me", Jess said. She wasn't in the best mood since Jeremy was annoying the crap out of her and Jack was busy with talking with some of his friends. "Well, you're my twin sister. I thought this would be a good way to spend more time with each other." Jeremy said innocently and Jess flashed him a fake smile. "Yeah, and the fact that Scott and Hilary would be here didn't matter at all, right?" she rolled her eyes. "I still think you should stay away from her", she added. "I don't want you to get into any trouble." "Jess, I'm old enough to make my own decisions, okay?" She looked at him for a moment. "I hope so Jer, I really do", she said but Jeremy didn't listen to her anymore because in this moment Scott entered the room, followed by Hilary. "Okay sis, it's time to spend some time with your boyfriend", Jeremy said as he saw Scott and Hilary walking up to Jack. But I-" Jess tried to protest but Jeremy already stood up so she had no other choice and followed him. Hilary stood next to her boyfriend who was already talking to Jack and watched people passing by, staring at her, whispering with each other. She knew they were talking about her but she just ran her hand through her hair and smiled weakly. The only thing she really wanted to do was crying but she had to do what Scott expected from her. No matter what they did or where they were he always pretented to be the perfect boyfriend. Sweet, caring, funny, intelligent and of course: the perfect gentleman. Even though she knew it better she had to play along with it. No matter what people thought about her, they couldn't deny that they looked like the perfect couple when she was with him. She was sweet and beautiful. A little weird maybe, but always smiling happily everytime he put his arm around her. What they didn't know was that the only reason for her smile was Scott's hand sqeezing her wrist, reminding her on how she had to act and what would be the punishment if she didn't. Perfect....Hilary smiled to herself, coldly. Nothing in her life was perfect, Not anymore. It was all fake and pretending. Suddenly her eyes grew big as she saw a guy walking straight up her. She immediantely remembered him. His height and his blonde hair....but basically his eyes. His blue eyes and his smile that seemed as bright as if it could light up the whole world. He'd looked at her for only a few seconds at the cemetery today, but she absolutely remembered his eyes. And the way he looked at her. As if he actually knew her. Hilary felt how Scott wrapped his arm tighter around her as they guy came up to them, followed by a girl who- she knew- was Jessica Sumpter. She smiled at her because even though she was very popular and pretty, she'd always been nice to her....

thanks!!! Jack smiled happily as he saw Jess standing next to him. "Hey baby", he said and kissed her. Then he looked at Hilary. "You guys already know each other, right?", he asked and Jess nodded. "Yeah we do. Hey Hil", she said and Hilary smiled at her. "Hey Jess, how are you?", she asked. "I'm alright, thank you, how are you?" Jess replied and Hilary just nodded. "Okay so far, thanks." Jess grimaced a little as she suddenly felt Jeremy pinching her arm. "Ohh", she looked at him and he made a puppy dog face. "Umm guys, this is my brother Jeremy", she sighed. "Jeremy, this is Scott." Scott held out his hand and Jeremy shook it. "Hey", he said and Scott nodded, looking at him distrustful as he saw how Jeremy turned back to Hilary again. Jess cleared her throat, looking at her brother warningly. "And this is Hilary", she added. "She's-" "My girlfriend", Scott interrupted her and let his hand slide down on the side of her body, making sure Jeremy saw it. "Hey", Jeremy almost whispered, watching her pulling at her clothes nervously. He noticed that something made her feel uncomfortable but he didn't know what it was. Hilary smiled back weakly, not really looking at him, feeling Scott's hand sliding up and down over her waist the whole time. "Honey, I'm thirsty, could you get me something to drink?" Scott asked, looking at Hilary affectionate. "Of course", Hilary answered, smiling at him. "Thank you honey", Scott said before he kissed her long and passionately, knowing that Jeremy watched them. After he finally let go of her, she started to walk away to the kitchen but behind Scott's back, she turned around slowly, just for a few seconds, to look at Jeremy. He was talking to Scott, probably about football or something like that, she guessed. Jack stood next to them and while Scott was laughing about something he said, Jeremy turned his head and noticed Hilary staring at him. He smiled at her and she felt her knees getting just as weak as the smile she flashed him before she stumbled into the kitchen, not able to think clear. The rest of the evening went by pretty normal. Hilary sat on Scott's lap, laughing about his jokes, smiling, kissing him every now and then. She made sure to keep her eyes on Scott because otherwise she'd have to look at Jeremy, just to see those eyes again. He sat across from her, she felt how he looked at her now and then and she hoped that Scott wouldn't see it. The evening went by and it was time to go so they said good bye to everyone. Obviously Scott hadn't noticed Jeremy staring at her because he seemed to be very satisfied with Hilary, who gave him a ride home. She stopped the car in front of his house and Scott smirked at her. "Wanna come in for a few minutes?" he asked and she shook her head, smiling fakely. "You know I'd love to baby, but I have to get home or my parents will be pissed." "Oh, of course, I understand that" Scott replied. "You were great today, the perfect girlfriend. Just the way it should be", he added and Hilary nodded surprised. "Thank you baby" Scott grinned. "I love you", he said and kissed her. "I love you too", she lied before he got out of the car and went into his house. Hilary sighed one last time before she drove home.
